Screens – designed for superior durability, performance and real life-cycle cost value.  The SCHLOSS™ engineered screening solutions handle coarse and fine screening, washing, compacting and conveying for both municipal and industrial applications.

Grit Removal – High removal efficiencies originate from the PISTA® Grit Chamber’s unparalleled hydraulic design, including its flat chamber floor, patented and low-energy axial-flow propeller. The combination creates a true vortex that effectively separates grit from organics and the waste stream. Forced vortex action distinguishes the PISTA® Grit Chamber from all other so-called “vortex” grit chambers because it does not rely on less efficient particle settling or gravity.

PISTA® TURBO™ Grit Pump – designed for pumping grit slurries.  Available in top mounted, vacuum primed or flooded suction, and ranging from 250 GPM (15.81 lps) with 4″ (100 mm) piping to 500 GPM (31.6 lps) with 6″ (150 mm) piping.

 

Grit Washing & Dewatering – clean grit while minimizing the odor caused by putrescible organics and the costs associated with growing landfill restrictions.

Wastewater Treatment Systems

Smith & Loveless Treatment Systems offer a complete range of aerobic, biological wastewater equipment to meet the varied needs of industry, commercial facilities, municipalities, and private development. Our broad system list ranges from innovative membrane bioreactors, fixed bed biological reactors and complete extended aeration plants.

Our pre-engineered systems come in factory-built and field-erected configurations, handling capacities from 1,000 GPD (3.8 m3/d) to 5 MGD (18,900 m3/d). All systems are tailored to meet design requirements for centralized and decentralized, off-grid applications.

Biotreatment – Green+Green™ Mobile Organic Biofilm™ processes feature completely renewable and patented bio-carrier media that delivers the crucial bio-treatment results of conventional MBBR/IFAS processes and ballasted clarifier settling with a smarter, more cost-effective green approach.

Clarifiers – pre-engineered designs include center feed clarifiers, peripheral feed clarifiers and solids contact clarifiers in both steel & concrete tank designs.

 

 

LovelessAeration & Mixing systems – deliver reliable treatment performance while minimizing energy demands. Proprietary system designs range from integrated fine bubble diffusion & mixing technology, coarse bubble diffusers, brush aerators, and durable vertical mechanical aeration.

Wastewater Filters – remove turbidity, suspended solids and other particles from wastewater. Filters come in a variety of sizes and configurations to fit exact requirements, including stand-alone systems and integral units for S&L pre-engineered treatment plants.

Sand Removal – PISTA® Sand Removal Chamber serves as the efficient choice for sand removal at water treatment plant intakes.

Electrolyte / Mining Operations

For decades, S&L has continually worked with mines to improve its pressure filtration technologies, including the premier DI-SEP® SX-DAF and the established DI-SEP® SX Filter. These systems remove organic material from the SX-EW process, enabling the production of highly pure copper sheets.
