Covid-19 Announcement

UPDATE:  March 24, 2020

At Kerr Pump and Supply, we continue to monitor the rapidly changing development of COVID-19 and follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control, Public Health – both states and counties, and the World Health Organization. We are committed to keeping the safety of our customers, business partners, and team members at the center of all our decisions and actions.

Beginning March 24, 2020, the State of Michigan will order the closure of all “non-essential” businesses. From our interpretation of this order, it is clear that Kerr Pump and Supply, in our role in the supply chain for our customers in business segments including medical, food and water infrastructure, qualifies as an “essential” business.

What you should know:

  • Fully Operational – Kerr Pump remains open during normal business hours and we are encouraging employees to work remotely.
  • Sales Support – Kerr Pump’s Applications Engineers are available to answer any of your questions via phone 248-543-3880 or email [email protected].
  • Same Day Shipping – We have stock and can ship most items the same day.
  • Service and Repair – Our Service Department is available 24/7 and our Repair Facility is open and fully staffed.

We appreciate your continued support as a Kerr Pump and Supply customer and share the hope that this situation can be swiftly contained and eliminated.

Best regards,

Tom Gross, President

To Our Valued Customers and Suppliers:

Kerr Pump is committed to providing safe, high-quality products and services to our customers. We believe that our people are the most important asset of our company. We value our relationships with our employees, customers, and manufacturers as we work to continuously improve the quality of our services.

As the coronavirus COVID-19 affects our communities, our work as your product and services partner continues. We are vigilant; heeding all federal, state and local health advisories; and where it makes sense, adjusting efforts to safeguard the health and safety of our employees and customers. We have been closely monitoring and implementing the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Local Health Departments best practices and applying them here at our facilities in Oak Park.

We are working with all of our key suppliers to monitor any potential supply disruption and/or material shortages that may impact us. At this time, we believe that any disruption or shortages will be minimal, but the risk varies by supplier. Many of our manufacturers with which we maintain close relationships have proactively communicated any potential challenges they are facing with us. Of course, if you have a specific product category or manufacturer of concern, please contact us for further information.

To that end, we have made a corporate decision to close our Sales Offices which include personnel from Customer Service, Sales and Management for one week and have those employees work from home. We have arranged for employees to connect to our servers and phone system so that they can continue to deliver the high-quality services our customers expect. We feel that this is the responsible action to take and do not anticipate that this will hinder our ability to deliver on our obligations to our customers and manufacturers. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you,

Tom Gross, President
